Carson Wiley Bounds was born on April 6th, 1920. He lived in Mogulusha, Neshoba County, Mississippi with his family.He was the third child of seven, being the second oldest brother.
He had an older sister named Willie A. (1917-1999), an older brother named Elliot (1913-1986), and four younger siblings named James (1922-2010), Georgie (1925-1963), Hilda (1927-2006), and Shelton (1930- ).
His older brother, Elliot, worked as an insurance salesman then, after one year in college, joined the Army on July 8th, 1941.He also lived with his father, George Terrel Bounds and his mother, Nettie Myer Bounds. His father died on August 13th, 1951 and his mother died on March 29th, 1975.His family was a strict, white, protestant family living on a farm. His father owned the farm, was self-employed, and usually worked 30 weeks out of the year.
Carson’s parents both left school after completing 8thgrade. Elliot, Willie, Carson, and James were the only ones to graduate high school of his siblings. George, Hilda, and Shelton left school at various points in elementary school.All of the children went to Neshoba Central School District. Carson even went to college for two years but left after that. In his day to day life, Carson worked as an actor, and he helped on his parents’ farm.
